Series/series number going crazy in Booknizer

Series/series number going crazy in Booknizer. When I add new book, I sometimes add series without series_number. After that when I look on that book again it series name can be something different from series list. The number also can be added automatically to some serial number.

Can this be repeated on a new database? Could you please provide some real-world example (steps to repeat the problem)?

I have reported such a bug two months ago - the authors promised to fix it soon, but there is no update since March...
